Whenever a participant shares their screen, any other participant in the meeting can request to take control of their screen.
This is useful whenever a participant wants to learn how to use a software, teach another participant how to access something, or even help another participant with an online task.
To request control on Zoom:
- While the participant shares their screen, select ‘Options‘ in the top menu bar of your screen.
- Select ‘Request Remote Control‘ from the drop-down menu.
- A window will pop up asking if you are sure you want to request control. Click ‘Accept‘.
- Now, the participant sharing their screen will receive this request as well and will have to click ‘Accept‘.
- Now, you should be able to control the other participant’s screen.
- To stop remote control, either participant can ‘Abort Control‘ on the top menu bar.
