Welcome to the STA Training Playlist: Adobe Creative Cloud page! Here, you will find tutorials, varying in length, about the most utilized applications falling under Adobe Creative Cloud such as Premiere Pro, Audition, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.

The Adobe Creative Cloud  
  • General Adobe Creative Cloud Overview: Creative Cloud Crash Course
    • This playlist outlines the uses of Adobe applications such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Fresco, Capture, Lightroom, After Effects, Premiere, and several others. It gives a very basic description of each program and essentially aids the viewer in gaining a beginner’s understanding of the software.

  • Audition: Adobe Audition
    • For those who might not have time to watch the Audition Essential Training playlist, this Adobe Audition video provides a much shorter run-down of how to manipulate the sound of a clip. Although it is not as detailed as the playlist, this video does a good job of giving a preview of the basic features present. 
  • Audition: Audition Essential Training
    • In this playlist, Audition and its’ voice editing features are extensively explored. There are subcategories present that range from gaining a basic understanding of how the editing process works to more advanced subcategories of applying effects and mixing sounds.
  • Audition: Importing audio files into Adobe Audition
    • Although this video is part of a much larger playlist, it was specifically picked because it explores how to import a file into Audition. This video goes through all of the essential steps a person needs to take before moving onto the editing stage of the process. 
  • Audition: Matching loudness between clips
    • This video teaches the viewer to correctly balance the volumes of different sound clips. In a uniformed video, every clip must sound like it was recorded under the same conditions. This video explores the embedded features of Audition that essentially pick through the video clips and choose a sound level that compliments every clip. 
  • Audition: Removing unwanted sounds
    • In this video, Paul Murphy does an incredible job of detailing the process through which background noises can be edited out. He uses a clip of a phone ringing in the background of an interview to demonstrate this process quickly and easily.  
  • Audition: Sound Design for Motion Graphics
    • This playlist explores an avenue of utilizing Adobe Audition to create sounds that compliment a specific video. It teaches the viewers to effectively choose to compliment sounds and provides examples of how to do so. 
Create Graphics With Adobe Illustrator
  • Illustrator: Illustrator 2021 Essential Training
    • This playlist teaches core concepts and techniques that can be applied to any workflow for print, the web, or assets that will find their way into other applications. Instructor Tony Harmer covers the essentials of Illustrator 2021, including artboards, workspaces, layers, and shapes. Tony discusses vector graphics—paths, strokes, and fills—and shows how to use each of the drawing tools in Illustrator. He demonstrates how to combine and clean up paths and organize them into groups and layers. Tony also covers text editing, working with color, expressive brush drawing, effects, and much more. 
  • Illustrator: Illustrator 2021 Quick Start
    • In this short introductory course, instructor Kladi Vergine covers the bare basics of how to use Illustrator. Kladi shows you how to create and set up a new document and how to set up your artboards. She goes over the tools you use to draw lines and curves, then transforms, duplicates, and group your lines and curves. She explains how to create strokes with variable width and transform your outline paths into shapes. Kladi walks you through how to use the Ellipse tool, the Rectangle tool, and the Pencil tool to speed up and ease your creative process. She shows you how to use the Color Themes panel and apply gradients to your work. Kladi discusses how to insert and edit the text in your artboards, as well as how to create and edit Layers and how to duplicate your artboards. She teaches you how to use the Recolor tool to your advantage, then concludes with how to export your work.

    • This collection of quick Adobe Illustrator videos is designed to show you workarounds, demonstrate helpful tricks, and explain useful features. Explore how to change the shape of text, use a single tool to create beautiful ranges of color, and distort shapes and drawings. 
Design With Adobe InDesign
  • InDesign: Creating a Presentation with InDesign
    • This short course teaches you how to design and output a great presentation using InDesign—a dedicated design tool that offers more creative possibilities than PowerPoint or Keynote. Instructor Mike Rankin show how to efficiently design each slide type, add content and interactivity, and then output to formats like PDF and HTML5. 
  • InDesign: InDesign 2021 Essential Training
    • In this course, instructor David Blatner presents a thorough explanation of the core features and techniques that make this powerful page-layout application fun and easy to use, providing a foundation upon which advanced skills and workflows can be built. David gets you up to speed fast, with a quick start chapter that teaches you the basics in less than 20 minutes. Then he dives into the details, including managing documents and pages, editing text and graphics, creating interactive documents, and much more.
  • InDesign: InDesign 2021 Quick Start
    • In this short introductory course, instructor Kladi Vergine covers the bare basics of how to use InDesign. Kladi shows you how to create and set up a new document. She covers setting up and saving document presets. She explores how to use Master Pages to quickly insert repeating content. Kladi discusses how to create, name, arrange, and lock Layers. She walks you through how to use Adobe Color Themes and how to set up multiple-grids layouts. She demonstrates how to import text and images, then shows how to create graphic frames and place your images in them. Kladi steps you through using Share for Review and the new Locate Color workspace.     • In this course, Rich Harrington helps you build your image-editing skills by demonstrating how to solve common problems using Photoshop. Rich covers an array of issues—for example, dark circles under the eyes of a subject—and provides techniques you can use to efficiently address each problem. Rich goes over sizing images, dealing with exposure problems, fixing color issues, tackling skin problems, and controlling focus and backgrounds.
  • Photoshop: Photoshop Quick Tips
    • In this course, Jan Kabili runs through a slew of quick Photoshop tips, aimed at quickly solving common problems and tasks. Jan’s tips include how to remove a background in one-click, make a double exposure, enhance eyes in an image, quickly change the color of an icon, and many more. These workflow-changing tips and tricks are each just a few minutes long—so you can get answers fast and get back to work.

    • In this playlist, Richard Harrington illustrates, from start to finish, the process of attaching captions to videos. He begins by explaining the different methods through which captions can be generated, and then he moves on to show how the created captions can be embedded into the video.
