Audio and Podcasting Kits

Digital Learning & Scholarship is excited to support audio and podcasting kits as part of the creative technologies collections. Each kit offers users the equipment needed to record and edit audio outside of LITS. Below you’ll find descriptions of each kit and links to instructions for set up and use.

Both kits are available for checkout at the Library & IT Desk on Level A

Audio Recording and Podcasting Kit (1-microphone set-up) 

What You’ll find in the Kit: 

  • 1 audio interface (Focusrite Scarlett Solo USB Audio Interface)  
  • 1 microphone (Shure SM58 Mic)   
  • 1 XML cable 
  • 1 tabletop microphone stand 
  • 1 mic windscreen 
  • 1 pair of headphones

  • 1 audio interface (Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gen USB Audio Interface)  
  • 2 microphones (Shure SM58 Mic)   
  • 2 XML cables  
  • 2 tabletop microphone stands  
  • 2 mic windscreens  
  • 1 pair of headphones
