You can now access many lab applications on your own computer or mobile device using our Windows Virtual Desktop. Applications available include ArcGIS, Atlas.ti, Chemdraw, Eviews, SPSS, and STATA. It also includes the desktop versions of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. For students on campus, specialized software remains available through the open computer labs outside of class time, such as LITC B02. Students either on- or off-campus have access to a variety of software packages through a Windows virtual desktop. Information about how to access the virtual desktop from either a Mac or PC can be found at https://edtech.domains.trincoll.edu/windows-virtual-desktop/. Adobe Creative Cloud Suite Temporary Licenses
UNFORTUNATELY THIS OFFER FROM ADOBE IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE To support you during this time of remote learning, Adobe has made the Creative Cloud Suite available for you to install on your personal computer. This license will last until the end of May July 6. Note: Adobe is providing cloud storage for your projects for the duration of the temporary license. We strongly suggest that you make copies of your projects on a local drive. You will lose access to your projects that are stored in the Adobe Cloud when the license ends. Installing SPSS
UNFORTUNATELY THESE TEMPORARY LICENSES ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE. To access SPSS from a remote location you can use our Windows Virtual Desktop instead. IBM has granted us permission to expand our home use SPSS licensing. This means all Trinity faculty and students can install SPSS 26 on their personal machines. Once installed it will be fully functional without the need for any type of internet access until July 31, 2020. Audio Conferencing with Teams and Skype for Business
While we recommend Zoom for most virtual meetings, sometimes a simple conference call is all that is needed and may present a lower technology hurdle for some. All Trinity employees should have received an email with their conference phone number and the audio conference PIN for Teams and Skype for Business. While these audio conferences use Teams or Skype for business you do not need to use these applications and the participants do not have to have any accounts to join.
